Yeah, the main risk is charring the bacon, which can help create nitrosamine, but can be mitigated by Vitamin C. If you've looked at a package of bacon, ascorbic acid is already added in.
Also, I had a slight issue with his mention of pork and trichinosis. I'm guessing it is not widely known, but trichinosis has been greatly reduced in pigs. Odds of getting it from super market pork is 1 in 150+million The USDA actually lowered the recommended cooking temp for pork to 145 degrees.
